How To Care For a Synthetic Wig

    • Heat will damage the synthetic fibers of the wig where they will become singed and partially melted. You should try to avoid all heat sources while wearing your wig.
    • Brushing or combing a wig while it is WET will damage the fibers and pull out the hairs.
    • Lay your wig on the floor holding it in place with one hand and comb or brush it with the other. Don't brush a wig from the top down while holding it with one hand as this will pull out the hairs and even break the fibers.
    • Ask a professional hairdresser to trim, shape or thin out the wig. Make sure it is dry.
    • Comb or brush from the bottom to get out any tangles working your WAY UP to the top. This will prevent pulling & tugging on the fibers which in turn stop the breakage and pulling the hair out.
    • Wash your wig one or twice every month. Don't rub the wig heavily and make sure the water flows in the same direction during washing.
    • Please use our anti-static comb or a Metal Wide Tooth Comb.
    • It is very normal for the synthetic wig to have a certain amount of shedding.
    • It is recommended to use a “spray-in”conditioner. Simply spraying your wig thoroughly before wearing will keep the hair soft and static free. With the Spray in conditioner, your wig will look like the first time you took it out of the box.

How To Care For A Human Hair Wig

    • NEVER apply any products including alcohol onto the hair of your human hair wig, such as some kinds of hair spray, because these improper products will lead to damaging the hair and hair shedding.
    • It is strongly recommended to ask a professional hairdresser to trim, shape or thin out the wig. It is very risky to color human hair wigs by yourselves. Please also remember NEVER try to dye a darker color wig into a lighter color.
    • You may braid your human hair wig or tie it in a ponytail before going to sleep to avoid any tangles. Better use a scarf on your head or a hair bonnet when sleeping, which will reduce breaking and shedding of the hair.
    • Avoid soaking the hand-tied human hair wigs for a long time when washing since it will damage the knots in the wigs.
    • Use hair conditioner and wash your wig in mild water with a slightly acidic shampoo.
    • Brushing or combing your human hair wig while it is WET will damage it. Do not wear wig with wet cap or dry wig on head or Styrofoam, as this will stretch the cap.
    • Please use our anti-static comb or a Metal Wide Tooth Comb.
    • Refrain from pulling the comb forcefully through the tangles. Pulling will not only pull the hair off of the "tracks" of the wig but the pulling. Spray your wig with a light oil sheen to restore luster that was lost while getting rid of the tangles.
    • Comb or brush from the bottom to get out any tangles working your WAY UP to the top. This will prevent pulling & tugging on the hair which in turn stop the breakage and pulling the hair out.
    • It is very normal for the human hair wig to have certain amount of shedding.
    • Please store your wig on a wig stand or mannequin head in a cool, dry location avoiding extreme temperatures, mold and dust, which will help maintain the shape, cleanliness and style of your wig.

    How To Wash

This guide is applicable for both synthetic wigs and human hair wigs.

    • If your wig is mildly tangle, comb it out first. Doing so while wet will stretch and damage the fibers/hair of the wig. Comb or brush from the bottom to get out any tangles working your WAY UP to the top.
    • Fill up the sink/basin with warm water and wig shampoo. Keep water temperature low. Hot water can be used only for heat resistant wigs. Cold water can keep the original style of the wig maintained.
    • Use a gentle scrunching motion to saturate the wig with the soapy water. Soak your wig for 3-5 minutes.
    • Drain the dirty water and use gentle scrunching motions to squeeze out the shampoo. Allow it to soak in clean water for a minute or so.
    • Drain the rinsing water and squeeze out as much excess water as you can, as gently as you can. Never twist or wring your wig.
    • Now lay it out on the towel to air dry. Make sure the surface is flat and the wig is out of direct sunlight. If the wig is curly, scrunch the curls up every so often so they don't lose their bounce. Blow drying is not advised.
    • When the wig is completely dry, just comb out the tangles and wear it.
